Ugears startup raised $20,000 for new devices made of wood on Kickstarter in a few hours

Ukrainian startup Ugears launched a campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds for a new collection of wood-made devices Ugears Games. The project raised the necessary $20,000 in four hours.

Money is collected for the production of wooden devices for tabletop games. The collection includes a holder and a box for playing cards (the first one is designed for 500 pieces, the second one – for 120), a modular tower for throwing dice (a “turriculae” or dice tower), and a wooden book-case for the rules of the game.

Ugears assures that the devices are suitable for almost every tabletop game: “With their help, you can store and move game items, as well as save space on the table.” Prices range from $23 for a single device up to $116 for a set of all five products.

This is the fourth Kickstarter campaign of the brand. Past projects of the company also enjoyed popularity on the platform and collected several times more than the initially stated amount. In addition, in May of this year, Ugears announced about selling its devices in 700 Disney stores in November of this year.
