Ukrainian Pix raises $46k for kids’ backpack with programmable screen

Ukrainian startup Pix that creates animated LED backpacks has successfully completed a new Kickstarter fundraising campaign. This time the company was promoting its Pix Mini 15L backpack for kids.

The project received support from 343 backers who pledged $46,600 at an initial goal of $15,000. The initial goal was achieved in the first 6 hours on Kickstarter.

The cost of the Pix Mini for backers started at $69. In retail, it will be more expensive – $130. The creators promise to deliver the first batch already in September 2019.

Pix Mini LED screen can be controlled from the app. The backpack is powered by the user’s own battery. According to the developers of the project, the backpack will help kids socialize and nurture their creativity. It is also equipped with an orthopedic frame, and the exterior material is waterproof.
