lifecell launches eSIM. Starter package costs 150UAH, more than 10 tariffs available

Mobile operator lifecell announced the launch of eSIM, as reported by ITC.

The term eSIM simply means an embedded SIM card that replaces a physical one. iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch include eSIM support. TriMob was the first company in Ukraine to launch commercial tariffs with eSIM.

How much does lifecell eSIM cost and how does it work

The lifecell eSIM starter package is available on the operator’s website and costs 150 UAH. This money will be credited to the bonus account and can be used to pay your tariff.

After purchasing the starting package, you need to scan the QR code and choose a cell phone plan. lifecell has 14 tariffs available for connection via universal starter package.

So far it is only possible to place a pre-order, the starting package will be available for sale from November 15. It will be possible to buy it in retail stores or by ordering delivery at the site of the operator.

Devices that include eSIM support:

  • iPhone 11;
  • iPhone 11 Pro;
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max;
  • iPhone XS;
  • iPhone XS Max;
  • iPhone XR;
  • iPad Pro;
  • iPad Air 10.5″;
  • iPad mini 5;
  • Google Pixel 3 and later.

To activate eSIM on your iPhone, you need to go to “Settings” → “Cellular data” → “Add cellular plan.” Detailed instructions on how to use eSIM are available on the Apple website.

There is no information on the eSIM feature on Apple Watch or other smartwatches.
