Ukrainian VC fund Genesis Investments invests in Vochi

Ukrainian fund Genesis Investments became a lead investor in the $1.5 million seed round of the Belarusian startup Vochi. The valuation of the startup was not disclosed. The news was reported to AIN.UA editors by representatives of the fund.

• Startup Vochi has developed an application for a smartphone Vochi Video Effects, which allows the user to apply different effects to selected objects in the video.
• The developers have trained neural networks that allow selecting objects in a photo or video for further processing. The user only needs to upload a video, select an object, and then add an effect from a library – for example, Glitch or Cloned.
• The user can upload videos of any duration and size. However, for now, after processing, the application will show the video in maximum Full HD resolution, since it is designed to edit video for social networks.

Previously, Genesis Investments invested $150,000 in the Ukrainian podcast hosting platform Elision.
