About the project
One of the functions of the Norwegian Civil Affairs Authority (SRF) is to ensure the legal certainty of minors and persons who are unable to safeguard their interests and therefore need a guardian. Today there are about 67,000 people with about 45,000 guardians. Due to the aging population, there is a significant growth in the number of people in need of a guardian in the coming years, which increases the need for digitization and efficiency.
The project aim is to develop a case processing tool (VERA) for SRF employees to manage guardianship from start to finish. This includes making decisions, follow-up of cases, replying to inquiries, follow-up of finances and supervision.
The solution includes complex case management, archiving (via integration with ePhorte), financial functions (via integration with Agresso), people resource management (via integration with DSF). Over 200 case managers use the project in the field of guardianship at the counties and the SRF.
VERA's main components are - document production (done in SharePoint 2016), case processing (done in Java), document archiving (done in ePhorte), financial reporting (done in Agresso). Also, the system is integrated with the National Population Register (Folkeregister) and Tax Administration (Skatteetaten).
