Kyiv took 34th place in the ranking of the most developed startup cities in the world according to the StartupBlink service. The representatives of the innovation park UNIT.City, who acted as a partner of the project, reported about this to the edition of AIN.UA.
Compared to the previous version of the ranking for 2017, Kyiv has risen by 29 places, overtaking Munich, Helsinki, and Shenzhen. In total, the list includes more than 1,000 cities. At the same time, Ukraine rose by 4 lines, taking 31st position among 100 countries.
The selection methodology is based on StartupBlink’s own algorithm. The position of the city depends on the strength of the ecosystem, and the country – on the number of projects, their quality, and business environment.
In addition, the ranking of cities also included Odesa (235), Lviv (299), Kharkiv (435), and Dnipro (561). San Francisco, New York, and London are the top three cities in the ranking. The top three countries are the USA, UK, and Canada.
